Misinterpretation of the simple

2+2 equals 4, simple mathematics we can all agree on. But, what if we were told that 2+2 equals 5 or 6 or anything other than 4? What if it were misinterpreted by some smart people who didn't have the clarity to tell others the correct answer and understanding? Our world would be chaotic, it wouldn’t function correctly, we’d be living in ignorance and the foundation for all mathematics would be on quicksand, non-existent.
